1Who we are

WiseTalk is operated by Slashifytech Labs Private Limited ("WiseTalk", "we", "us"), a company registered in India with its office at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India.

This policy applies when you use the WiseTalk website, web app and mobile apps (together, the "Platform"), whether you are learning from a mentor or hosting sessions as one.

2What we collect

Account detailsName, email address, phone number and password.

Profile detailsEducation, work history, career goals, photo and anything else you add to your profile.

Session dataBookings, messages, files you share and reviews. [State whether video sessions are recorded.]

Payment dataTransaction references and wallet history. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment partner, Razorpay.

Device and usage dataIP address, device and browser type, pages visited and cookies.

Mentor verification[Documents or links mentors share to confirm their work history.]

To create and manage your account.
To show you relevant mentors and help you choose one.
To book, run and follow up on sessions.
To process payments, wallet balances and mentor payouts.
To send booking confirmations and reminders by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
To keep the Platform safe and prevent fraud or misuse.
To understand how the Platform is used and improve it.
To meet our legal obligations.

4Consent and legal basis

We process your personal data with your consent, or for other lawful purposes allowed under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

You can withdraw your consent at any time from [Settings > Privacy] or by writing to us. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide some parts of the Platform to you.

5Who we share it with

The person you book with. Mentors see the details you share for a session. Seekers see a mentor's public profile.
Service providers who help us run the Platform: Razorpay (payments), AiSensy (WhatsApp messaging), Google Meet (video sessions), Brevo (email), Firebase and Google Cloud (hosting and infrastructure).
Authorities, when the law requires it.

6How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Once your account is closed, we delete or anonymise it.

8How we protect it

We use reasonable security practices to protect your data, including [encryption in transit, access controls and regular reviews]. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private and tell us if you notice anything unusual.

9Age requirement

WiseTalk is meant for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. [Confirm your minimum age.]

10Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
